This weekend performances at the Hilbert Circle Theatre in Indianapolis open with Guillaume Connesson’s “Heiterkeit” – a cantata for choir and orchestra commissioned by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and dedicated to Krzysztof Urbański. “Heiterkeit” is followed by Beethoven’s Symphony No.9. This week Krzysztof debuts with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. The concert takes place on Friday 25th March at the Konzerthaus. The program includes Hartmann’s “Concerto funebre” with Kolja Blacher and Shostakovich’s Symphony No.5. More details here.
Krzysztof leads the Munich Philharmonic in a program of R. Strauss’ “Don Juan” and “Till Eulenspiegels”, Korngold’s Cello Concerto and a German Premiere of Hillborg’s Cello Concerto with Nicolas Altstead. Two subscription concerts take place on Sunday 20th February at 11:00 and Monday 21st February at 20:00 at the Isarphilharmonie. More information here.
Join Krzysztof and the Dresdner Philharmonie for a performance of Beethoven’s „Coriolan”Overture, Dean’s Piano Concerto and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.5 with Jonathan Biss as the soloist at the Kulturpalast on Friday 4th February at 19:30. Krzysztof leads the Danish National Symphony Orchestra (DR Symfoniorkestret) in a program of Grieg’s Piano Concerto with Marianna Shirinyan and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. The concert will be streamed live by DR P2 at 19:30 on Thursday 6th January. More information here.
Krzysztof comes back to the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra for two projects. First performance takes place at the Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall on 6 November. The program includes Mozart’s ‘Magic Flute’ Overture, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.2 with Mari Kodama and Brahms’ Symphony No.4.
